For this assignment we were asked to critique an image of a statistics chart. We had to use the PAT and ACE models as basis for our critique, which breaks down the different aspects of visuals.
I think this assignment was a bit overkill. I really enjoyed the handout about visual literacy because it showed me there are so many different aspects of visuals other than the obvious.
I will be able to use the knowledge I gained about visual literacy in my future classroom because I will put more thought into the visuals I use in my classroom. I will make sure I use visuals that considered good according to the PAT model.
